Designed for the Calf That Won't Get Up (And the Back That Has to Lift Him)
Here is what a towel or a feed sack gets wrong: it slips, bunches under the belly and leaves you lifting dead weight with your back.
The Goatzy Calf Sling cradles the belly in breathable mesh and clips to your hoist with two steel rings.
You steady the calf. His hooves stay on the ground. Your back stays out of it.

2-inch webbing + Box-X stitching = load points that hold
Cheap slings tend to give out where the straps meet the panel.
Ours locks every load point with Box-X stitching on heavy-duty 2-inch nylon webbing, carried by two steel rings.
Load tested at the factory and rated up to 500 lbs.
What Makes It Different
From the steel rings to the mesh belly panel, every detail is there so you can weigh, carry and steady a calf without wrestling him or straining your back.

How to Use It (3 Simple Steps)

Center the mesh panel under the belly, just behind the front legs.

2. Tighten Both Sides
Pull the side straps evenly until the sling sits snug, not tight.

3. Clip & Lift Slowly
Clip both steel rings to your scale or hoist. Lift slowly and keep the hooves on the ground when helping a calf stand.

Which size do I need?
The Calf Sling (Large) fits calves, ponies and alpacas: panel approx. 24.4 x 14.2 in, side straps adjust from 14 to 30 in, rated up to 500 lbs. For goats, lambs and sheep, the Goat Sling (Small) is the better fit.
Does it come with a scale?
No. The two steel rings clip onto any hanging scale or hoist hook you already use. Scale not included.
Can I use it to help a downed calf stand?

STRONG SLING
This calf sling is one of those pieces of farm gear you hope you don’t need often, but when you do, you’re very glad you have it. The heavy-duty construction feels solid, the steel rings make weighing straightforward, and the four handles give you much better control when carrying a newborn calf without turning the job into an accidental rodeo. The breathable mesh is a smart touch, and the 500 lb capacity gives plenty of confidence for larger animals. Practical, sturdy, and clearly designed by someone who understands that livestock rarely cooperates just because you asked nicely.
Sturdy Sling That Handles Calves Safely
This sling seems tough with breathable mesh that feels ready for real farm use right out of the box. Steel rings have a solid weight, and the handles sit in spots that make lifting feel natural. Stitching around the edges looks tight and dependable. Guiding a newborn calf into the sling takes a moment because they never stay still, but the mesh wraps securely once everything settles. Rings clip onto a hanging scale without any fuss, and the sling stays balanced even with a bit of wiggling. Handles make short carries easier and don’t dig into your hands. After a few uses, the mesh keeps its shape and the rings stay straight. A quick rinse after a muddy morning dries fast without leaving the material stiff. It ends up being one of those pieces of gear that gets used more often than expected because it works every time it’s needed.
Sturdy and Well Made
This calf sling feels very sturdy and well made. The nylon straps are thick, the stitching is reinforced, and the metal rings feel strong and secure. The mesh is breathable, and the adjustable straps and multiple handles make it practical for weighing or carrying a calf. It’s fair season right now, so all the cattle and calves are travelling. Otherwise, I would have included a photo of a calf wearing the harness. I’ll definitely be using this when I have to weigh my next calf.
Sling for weighing and moving animals.
This sling makes weighing or moving an animal so much easier. Turns into something you can do calmly and safely, and the build quality is quite good. It has heavy duty nylon webbing which feels thick, and box-X reinforced stitching locks down every load point so there's no weak spot under strain. The steel D-rings are strong and secure. A four handle setup is smart and practical. One top handle, one bottom, and two adjustable side handles so you can lift solo or bring in a helper for a bigger or squirmier animal, and having that extra control matters with livestock that doesn't cooperate. Weighing is straightforward. Slide the sling under the belly, clip both steel rings to your hanging scale's hook, lift, and read. The sling itself weighs under a pound, it tares out fast. The breathable mesh belly panel is a contoured cut - wider at chest and hip, narrower at the waist. It holds the animal steady during handling which reduces stress for the animal and risk for you. It's fairly large for smaller animals. We don't have any calves currently, so I tested it on a couple of our larger dogs and it worked well. Not all the hardware is metal unfortunately. Given the weight it's supposed to handle they should be metal for longer term durability.
Weighing and Carrying Newborn Calves-up to 500 lbs
I grabbed this for 2 reasons 1 Animal rescue. 2 Newborn Weighing Sling. Mostly #1 as our scale is a built in beef scale they walk over when we sort truck and pasture lots from the barn. so we can get those numbers but if we are in the field the sling and the hanging crane scale are perfect to use off the skid steer as that method is much easier to use outside with little effort when we are away from the barn.. But I find a certain time of the year at least once a year we have to save something from mud or ice so I thought having this to go with our winch would be handy in case of emergency. Super well made and a great bit of kit for the farm or jeep.
Expertly Crafted Sling That Won't Let You Down
I ordered this item as a gift for my sibling who has a number of small livestock as well as massively large guardian dogs to tend to them. He was over the moon to be able to replace the older canvas sling that gave up the ghost earlier in the year and has had nothing but great things to say about this product. + Arrived promptly + Product as described with zero defects + Packaged for gifting + Zero strong odors or smells + Solid no fail stitching used throughout + All elements of the sling are designed to avoid any digging in or pinch points + Material choice offers smooth surface contact that won't rub or wear + Metal rings to lift with that are placed accurately and permit even distribution of weight + Front and rear straps can be adjusted This is a great sling that can help in multiple situations on a farm. It is very obvious Goatzy products are designed and made by people who are passionate about their craft.
Works for picking up big dogs while grooming
I have a BIG German Shepherd that absolutely hates having her nails trimmed and bathing and this harness works to hold her up while I do what I need to do and she can't escape. I know this is meant for small livestock but it really works. My dog's legs hang loose and free but the rest of her body is secure. With her midsection secure my dog seems much calmer while I trim her nails. This also makes it easy to hoist her up onto a tall surface like a roof when I am doing repairs and later in life it will come in handy to lift her into tall vehicles for trips in the cat or truck.
